getFuturesSpecifications API

The getFuturesSpecifications API provides contract information such as trading hours, contract size and tick size for futures contracts.

Pricing is based on the number of monthly queries and fields requested. We offer four packages: Small, Medium, Large, Enterprise. Contact us for additional details.

INPUTS:

symbols (optional)
A symbol or code that identifies a financial instrument. Multiple symbols separated by a comma may be used. (list)
Example: GC,CL

exchanges (optional)
The code for the exchange a group of financial instruments are listed on. (list)
Example: COMEX,NYMEX

futuresCategory (optional)
Futures categories include: Energies, Financials, Grains, Indices, Meats, Metals, Softs and Currencies. (list)
Example: energies,metals


OUTPUTS:

symbol (always returned)
A symbol or code that identifies a financial instrument. Multiple symbols separated by a comma may be used. (string)
root (always returned)
The Future's root. (string)
exchange (always returned)
The code for the exchange a group of financial instruments are listed on. (string)
futuresCategory (always returned)
Futures categories include: Energies, Financials, Grains, Indices, Meats, Metals, Softs and Currencies. (string)
contractName (always returned)
The name of the futures contract. (string)
tradingHours (always returned)
The futures contract's trading hours. (string)
ContractSize (always returned)
The futures contract's size. (string)
monthsTraded (always returned)
The contract months listed for trading. (string)
tickValue (always returned)
The size and value of the minimum tick size. (string)
pointValue (always returned)
The value of one full point. (string)
exchangeMargin (always returned)
The margin maintenance required for the future. (string)
exchangeSymbol (always returned)
The actual exchange symbol for the corresponding future. (string)

STATUS CODE RESPONSES:

200 OK Success
